The United States Geological Survey (USGS) in cooperation with local water agencies is installing multiple-depth monitoring wells in selected areas of four coastal river basins in San Diego County. These wells will be monitored for groundwater levels and sampled for groundwater quality. The well sites will be permanent installations and provide data for decades.
