Blog Action Day is an annual event held every October 15 that unites the world’s bloggers in posting about the same issue on the same day with the aim of sparking a global discussion and driving collective action. This year’s theme is water.

I have just a small extra contribution for the event (plus a longer than usual water news roundup that follows). On the right-hand sidebar of the blog, I made a list of the better water blogs covering California and the American West that I know of (plus a few other good ones). Pay them a visit when you can, there’s good stuff out there.
